Apartamento Brocchi (Bassano del Grappa, 2022-2023).

Located within an elegant modernist residential complex, Apartamento Brocchi unfolds as an exercise in balance between memory and contemporaneity.
The project intertwines the clean lines of local modernism with Italian and international influences, creating an interior that is both essential and deeply narrative.

The material palette was guided by the client’s origins: born in Venezuela, raised in London, and now settled in Bassano del Grappa.

In the bathroom, a Devon & Devon bathtub pays homage to his English years; the use of teak and bespoke joinery in the kitchen recalls his mother’s Venezuelan cooking spaces; while the guava-coloured partition dividing the living and sleeping areas evokes the fruit he used to pick in his grandfather’s garden.

This guava wall becomes the apartment’s only chromatic accent: a warm, continuous presence that, whether directly visible or glimpsed through thresholds, softens and unites every room.

In the living area, a mix of 1950s bookshelves, a Tobia Scarpa sofa, and a pair of Polish modernist armchairs create a dialogue between eras and geographies.
Lush plants further infuse the space with a sense of vitality, subtly recalling the tropical environments of the client’s origins.

Ultimately, Apartamento Brocchi translates a personal geography into space; weaving together continents, memories, and materials into a quiet, luminous domestic landscape.
